LINKS
FOR STUDY and/or HOMEWORK
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com:8100/legacy/college/halliday/0471320005/simulations6e/index.htm
This site is an interactive site from Wiley Publishing company
– note the name in the address – Halliday is the
text that we are using. Be sure your audio is on for the
instructions.
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hphys.html
This link “is a broad-ranging interactive physics exploration
environment which is written in HTML with Javascript calculation
routines. It is under continuing development by Dr. Rod Nave of the
Department of Physics and Astronomy, Georgia State
University”
I like this site because there are good WORD definitions followed by
examples that make sense. Use the flow chart to go to each
concept you would like to explore. Become
familiar with the way the chart works - there will be homework from
this site throughout the year!
http://www.physicsclassroom.com/Default2.html
“Learn basic physics concepts through these tutorials written
especially for high school students. Check Your Understanding quizzes
for each lesson provide an opportunity to assess your mastery of the
material.”
This site has good material to introduce topics in basic mechanics,
waves and optics.
http://www.hazelwood.k12.mo.us/~grichert/sciweb/applets.html
A nice collection of materials including applets on a large variety of
topics. Easy to maneuver around, and has great
explanations. Be aware, though, that all of their links are
not still available.

Interactive and Downloadable Physics Simulations. Excellent. Physics
Education Technology. This site has excellent simulations
that give perfect data and clean results. I recommend this
site highly for study, and there will be homework and/or classwork
coming from this site throughout the year!
http://host.explorelearning.com/ESClassic/
Explore Science Classic: “Welcome to the first shocked
science lab on the WWW (growing since December 1995). This site will
let both students and teachers interact with material on the web,
rather than just reading text.”
http://www.falstad.com/
Excellent applets under "Math and Physics Applets." Located on Paul
Falstad's Home Page. This site also has excellent simulations that give
perfect data and clean results. I recommend this site highly
for study, and there will be homework and/or classwork coming from this
site throughout the year!
http://www.physicslessons.com/iphysics.htm
A good set of short tutorials with interactive simulations.

“Our goal is to create an educational learning experience in
the field of science while maximizing the fun, excitement, and
innovation all through the internet... innovative activities that'll
help introduce and involve you in fun key concepts.”
