Paper Tower Exercise - Fall 2007 Materials: one 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper, 12" of tape, scissors, 2 class periods and teamwork ![]() everyone could tell the base was important ![]() there were never two bases exactly the same ![]() and each base design idea had to be tested, approved or discarded ![]() the engineering on paper was easier than the construction (one of those true facts) ![]() ![]() needless to say, some designs needed an airless room everyone worked hard on this assignment ![]() ![]() coming up with ingenious ways to stabilize the towers ![]() an initial measurement of over 122cms appeared to be a winner... but this measured in at 124 cms ![]() The winner in St. Clair's classes measured in at 135cms!
